Court Cases
1. We completed a chart before the break on four court cases: Calder, Sparrow, Van der Peet, and Delgamuukw. You need to now gather information about Guerin, Corbiere, and Powley (Powley is not in the text book, but easily found in a Google search).
2. Use the information gathered to complete a mind map of the seven cases. Your mind map must include:
- a brief case summary (one point form note)
- the nation involved
- the outcome
- the effect of the case
- connection arrows that explain the the connection between cases (i.e.: cases about fishing, land rights, positive or negative outcomes)
* mind maps are due on Wednesday
** You will have a quiz on Wednesday about all seven court cases
